“Perhaps it's my fault for not reading the initial listing for Guest House 32 closely enough, but I was unaware the toilet and shower were shared. The Expedia listing is confusing because it clearly states: "Extra conveniences in all rooms include: Rainfall showers and hair dryers". Yet my room did not include a shower or a toilet and was right across the hall from the single shared toilet. They had a sign at the front desk declaring a no noise policy from 10 pm to 8am, yet straight upon my……

“The ensuite room was clean and cosy with a lovely view of the garden. Breakfast was delicious and healthy, made fresh each day. When we requested dinner, this was also delicious and at a good price.The location was close some lovely towns and only 2.5hrs from Sofia. Wifi had good connectivity. The hosts were very friendly, had lots of suggestions for places to see and where to eat. They catered to us perfectly. Looking forward to coming again. ”

But it has to be said that many areas of the country retain both their culture and way of life and this is true of this Hotel. Unfortunately, they have also retained standards which many, in today's world, would now find unacceptable. “From the very beginning we could tell the hotel was going to be terrible, we booked a pool view room and got a dank and dark ground floor room. We stayed five nights. We complained about the room on the second day because you could hear everyone else's septic waste running through our bathroom, very loudly. The gentleman really didn't care and did nothing about it, wouldn't even change our room, just said "it's the same in every room" . Every night until 1am the children of the family who run……
