Everything was new and high quality, clean and comfortable, modern and well maintained - but in a cute historic building very close to all the retaurants and sights in town. “We stayed at the Gateway Lodge in Donegal during our travels in Ireland. The onsite parking was convenient and easily accessible. Hotel is just a short walk to town with several dinner options. “Beautiful hotel and great food. Very friendly staff. Our accommodation was in the Lodge which is great value. Only disappointments were that the upstairs area wasn’t available and there weren’t any of the nice homemade choc cookies on offer in the communal tea making area both of which we enjoyed on our previous stay.”

“Gorgeous property with friendly staff. Beautiful room with comfortable beds. We enjoyed our stay even though we were placed in the adjacent building without elevator (carrying our heavy luggage upstairs was a pain). The restaurant is wonderful, but the spa was closed during our stay, bummer! Check the schedule if planning on using the spa”

“This is a great hotel with wonderful food and entertainment. Paul is particularly helpful and was amazing. The hotel is clean and modern. The only drawback is the traffic noise and the street racing. Dunes is right across the street and there are many shopping opportunities close by. Free parking was very handy!”

“Excellent accommodation. Wee perks of a hotel were included like towels, toiletries, water in the fridge, coffee etc but it was way better than a hotel due to the space and facilities, especially when travelling as a family. We were deciding between a hotel down the road and here, definitely made the right choice. ”
