“Amazing place! Cute little place that has been remodeled to provide very comfortable and modern rooms. Everything was new and high quality, clean and comfortable, modern and well maintained - but in a cute historic building very close to all the retaurants and sights in town. We had a suite with a separate seating area with a fire place, a deck with a private hot tub (delightful way to end the day!), and a view of the river and a bit of the bay. “We stayed at the Gateway Lodge in Donegal during our travels in Ireland. The onsite parking was convenient and easily accessible. Hotel is just a short walk to town with several dinner options. We ate at The Olde Castle Bar - seafood was fantastic! Donegal castle is just a few min walk from the hotel!”

“Great place! The communication with the property staff was outstanding and every question was answered promptly. The room was very nice, very clean, and everything worked. Much nicer than any other place we've stayed in this price range. There is parking just around the corner in 'No. 1 Car Park' near the ALDI grocery store.”

“Beautiful hotel and great food. Very friendly staff. Our accommodation was in the Lodge which is great value. Only disappointments were that the upstairs area wasn’t available and there weren’t any of the nice homemade choc cookies on offer in the communal tea making area both of which we enjoyed on our previous stay.”

“Stayed here for an overnight as part of a larger trip. Hotel is under renovation so exterior had construction and interior of halls mid renovation but room was beautiful, big and very comfortable. It mentions laundry facilities but no laundry available, had to drive 5-10 minutes down the road to do laundry which wasn’t the cheapest. We ended up eating dinner at the Fleet Inn which was about 5-10 minute walk away which was very good.”

“We had a Seaview room which was lovely. We had a great view of the sunset from our room. we only had one meal in the restaurant (not the main one where you need to book) and would not rate the food as good. The bed was ok, not great, and the pillows were hard. The room was so hot on arrival and even though we opened the window, it did not cool down enough for a goods night sleep. The windows were dirty and had lots of cobwebs. Room staff good, we did not require our room to be serviced but they……

“Está rodeado de una granja como explica, puedes ver caballos, ponies, vacas, ocas y patos… Al ser una casa prefabricada se oía perfectamente la lluvia y por la noche fue un poco molesto. Bien para pasar una noche, creo que más se queda pequeño.”
