“We had a wonderful stay at City on a Hill in Fredericksburg, TX! The cabin was cozy, private, and perfect for a weekend getaway from all the noise. We especially loved the jacuzzi, the well-equipped kitchenette, and the peaceful view of the creek and sky from the back patio. It was everything we needed to relax and recharge. “We were greeted with chocolate chip cookies and a glass of wine and seltzer, while the property owners fed a herd of deer out in front of an amazingly beautiful canyon scape. The was more deer feed at the cabin, which we sprinkled in the meadow out front, and had lots of deer visitors which we enjoyed watching. “My wife and I spent a couple of nights and love the atmosphere. Secluded is a good way to describe this property and it was exactly what we were looking for.You have great views from the firepit area of the hill across the valley and there are good views from the front porch.But, the best part was the peacefulness sitting in the mountain breeze and listening to the birds and nature. “We were on our way to a wedding on the weekend in Granbury and decided to stop in Fredericksburg for two nights. This is our fourth stay in Fredericksburg and 10th in the hill country and this was one of our favorite accommodations. The kitchen and living areas were quite large for the studio style set up ( the bedroom is not completely separate). The kitchen was also well equipped which isn’t always the case. “This was a great location and close to all of our favorite wineries!”

“A well appointed, peaceful property perfect for 2 sisters or two couples! The views were lovely and the rocking chairs on the front porch make it a relaxing place for morning coffee, listening to the birds. The beds are great and the showers exceptional. Plenty of room to have privacy if you wish and nice gathering space in the middle rooms. So nice not to have TV in the bedrooms! The colors and furnishings are pleasant and not overdone.”
