“This is a lovely cosy B&B. The breakfast was brilliant (smoked salmon plus home made marmalade) and service excellent too. My room was very spacious, one small point - the bathroom was so hot, even though I turned off the towel rail socket the rail was still roasting. I can really recommend for business stays around Corby. I'd love to bring my wife here for a short stay to explore Rutland. ”

“The hotel was lovely. Breakfast was great. Unfortunately on booking we didnt look at opening times. We booked to stay on a Monday. The hotel takes bed & breakfast bookings but the bar & restaurant isnt open on Mondays. So we had to drive 15 minutes to another village for food. Not what we realy wanted to do, but the luckily the other pub served food. It only says on opening time that the bar & restaurant is closed Mondays. It needs to more clearer on website as why would we look at……

“Lovely welcome and good food. Room wasn't for me with very low bed and no standing shower probably my fault for not reading if this is in room information. Also the TV was very old and I couldn't get basic channels like ITV or BBC1. Finished with a lovely breakfast, great cooking of the poached eggs.”

“The staff were very good and very helpful but the hotel needs a major overhaul on the outside and grounds our car was full of birds dropping this morning so it’s had to be cleaned to prevent any paint damage ”

“Lovely friendly people, hotel was basic but ok. Beds were comfy but very creaky. Ok for a one night stay. ”

“Lovely pub/hotel with lots of old world charm. Clean and comfortable in a great location. Stayed for Sunday lunch which was excellent. Bedroom was spacious and had everything you could need. My only very slight negative was the traffic noise, as our room was at the front. ”

“Lovely hotel with a cute courtyard where we had lunch. Stayed in the large suite with its own lovely garden. The room was big, two bathrooms and nice big bed. Coffee machine and kettle with fresh milk in the fridge and fluffy bathrobes plus easy ample parking. The downside was it was quite noisy from the road, bifold doors across the division from bedroom to sitting room would solve this problem. Also could do with body moisturiser….none was supplied. Overall great hotel.”
