“Colonial houses are an opportunity to stay right in the midst of historic Williamsburg . The location could not be any more convenient. We stayed at Brick House Tavern on the second floor. The bed was comfortable and the room nicely decorated. However the rooms were last updated about 30-40 years ago estimating by the fixtures, etc. The rooms rates are reasonable based on location but are not reasonable based on the out of date locks (old fashioned brass keys) , bathroom plumbing and scarcity……

“The morning breakfast was good. Other than that, it was below average in my opinion. The hotel is currently under renovation, and it appears that our room seemed half-way done. It was extremely sparse, and not the 'cozy' room depicted in the pictures. Other than 2 beds, a sofa, and a small round table with a single desk-style swivel chair, there was no furniture for a very large room - no dresser, desk, coffee table or comfy chair to sit in. “Hampton Inn & Suites Williamsburg-Central is really good place to stay while visiting Williamsburg! The staff at the front desk are friendly and helpful. I asked for a bottle of drinking water and they handed me four bottles. I needed an extra flat sheet and they provided it to me right away! We will be staying there again in future!”
