“The home is so unique in its design with a loft fit for Heidi, an old children’s book written by Spyri. The grandsons were immediately drawn to the loft, and the children’s furniture enhances its intrigue. Two bedrooms and baths downstairs provide excellent creature comfort for the adults and the great room encompassing the kitchen, dining room, and living room with the massive stone fireplace provides a warm and perfect environment for socializing. “We had a group of girls join us for a fun weekend in the mountains. Upon arriving, they immediately loved exploring the different levels of the cabin and picking out their rooms! I agree with the reviewer who commented about some things in the home not being “up to date” (like what you would find in an older home vs a newer construction) but we found it to be charming. “We enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin. We used it as our home base to see Linville Caverns, hike to Linville falls, Grandfather Mountain, the wilderness Alpine Coaster, as well as Banner Elk. The evenings were peaceful and relaxing. The weather was warmer than usual and allowed us to sit on the front porch and enjoy the deer that came by. We highly recommend to stay here. ”

“This rental was wonderful! A group of 20 of us, ranging in family ages 2years old and 60 had a great time! We had everything we needed, enjoyed every bit of the property and were perfectly content when we were snowed in! Plenty of fire wood, games, sleds to use, etc. this is an older property, so if someone is picky about updates, the bathrooms have not been updated in quite sometime and are smaller. But it was perfect for our family!”
