“While the inside of the cottage was incredibly clean and comfortable and even perfect for co-operative gaming on the couch, the beautiful garden out front was the perfect location to have dinner and decompress from a long day of adventuring. The cottage is not far from downtown Salem, with a very easy walk through a safe neighborhood to everything of interest. The kitchen inside was perfect for making breakfast and lunch, and the beds were comfy. The charm of the Lily Cottage- inside and out-……

“The property was easy to find (even at midnight) and the view of the property and valley was gorgeous. The property had everything we needed, but not everything we wanted (no bath soap, security lights SO bright through window - needed thicker curtain, the freezer was broken, and there was only one roll of paper towels, so we had to go to the store to buy ice and paper towels.) But we enjoyed our stay nonetheless!”

“The cottage is comfortable and cozy. The small space is well laid out and has what you need for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the country setting, yet close to town. I found the bed to be comfortable, but may be too soft and not supportive for a heavier person. Kathryn was very responsive with communications, and we really appreciated the special baked treats. Definitely recommend. ”

“Very clean and inviting. My only issue was The lack of downstairs seating. The overstuffed chair could have used an ottoman because the chair height was uncomfortable to sit in for any length of time. Another condo chair or a love seat would have been great. I was supposed to have another person with me and if they came we wouldn’t have been able to stay because lack of seating. It is a one person cottage the way it’s set up. “Great property. Very cute, but could use some tweaks in functionality, especially if you have luggage for a longer trip. The hanging closet is too close and an awkward reach over the toilet so did not use. Hot water was not consistent and outside security light kept getting triggered, perhaps by a weather vane in the garden. Despite this, loved the complex and the common area. Well located and quiet at night.”

“A very tranquil and relaxing setting just a few miles from downtown. The owners were very nice and all the little touches like fresh baked cookies was welcoming. It was very comfortable and homey, which is what my wife wanted. There is no TV or closet per se for clothes so if you really want to unwind this is a good place to do it.”

“This property is super cute and has everything you need for a short stay. We appreciated having the basic spices available in the cupboard and quality cookware/dinnerware. The k cups were a plus also. The bathroom and kitchen were of substantial size and the bed was very comfortable. The only part we didn’t like was the yard area as you felt like you were right in the owners back yard so it was uncomfortable to be out there. It was set up very nicely, though, with a very cool water feature.……

“We were visiting for a family funeral. This location was beautiful and secluded and gave us the peace we needed to get through a sad time. We loved seeing the wildlife outside the windows and the sound of the creek behind the house. I would love to come back during the summer for a vacation.”
