“We had an amazing 2 day stay. Place was gorgeous, with 5 star rooms and service.
Food was also great with more options than you could think of. If you’re looking for extra activities, there is a spa and a list of water activities to do at the beach or on the river.
Definitely recommend ”
“This hotel is chef's kiss. The pool and poolside are brilliantly thought out and massive so you can have a peaceful dip even if it's busy (I went out of season). My riverside room was the perfect way to start every day and the food, even the Western food, is really good. The service is unrivalled, it surpassed my expectations. I would say the hotel's greatest asset is its location in between the river and the sea, where you also you get lots of wildlife. And a 7 minute walk (plus couple of……
“Nice hotel, well maintained. Wonderful location as just on riverside. 1 km distance from bentota beach.
Only few things are missing, just like... restaurant and swimming pool. For food they arrange from nearby restaurants. But owner is quite helpful, n quite bigger room size and bathrooms. If can adjust with above requirements...then its the best place to live in bentota, its quite chill and silent...so that you can enjoy yourself.”
“Beautiful authentic hotel with incredible staff. Service was simply excellent. We loved our stay and are still dreaming about the traditional curry they served us. ”
“Unfortunately this place is in desperate need of investment. The kerb appeal is very good but the jetty for example is falling into the river and not as pictured. The room wasn't very clean which is a great pity as the owner is very friendly. The food was lovely, we had both Breakfast and evening meals and could not fault them.
It just a great shame that it is not as good as it could be. If the owner makes a investment in his property he could definitely charge more to stay.”
“We had a wonderful stay at Villa 80. Our room was comfy and Henry, his wife and staff couldn't do enough for us. The tranquil garden was a real haven and the pool was a bonus. We weren't far from excellent beaches and the railway station. A tuktuk was available to run us to wherever we wanted to be whether to the local market or local gardens. And the breakfasts were excellent.”
“excellent staff who could not do enough to make sure your stay was as you would want it.Pool was wonderfully warm and gardens were exquisite and very colourful.
Trains were noisy but interesting and after a while you did not notice them.”
“My family ( 2 Adults , 1 infant , 1 kid ) loved the 5 night / 6 day stay at Taj Bentota for many reasons :
- Quality of service was excellent . Sam , Nuwan , Ravindra at the Palms restaurant made sure we felt at home. Room Boy Gagan treated the kids with his artistic work every time he cleaned the room.
- Exceptional food at the Palms restaurant. Chefs Paramesh and Dalip Singh prepared great Indian vegetarian food for us. They took extra efforts to make sure baby food for my infant was……
“the only attraction of this hotel is the wonderful seaview / beach view. the same comment before i book and after i stayed there.
Another attractions after I stayed there .....1/ swimming pool, long enough to swim and not many ppl swim there. 2/ the Squirrel walk around the beaches all the time and they don't afraid of people.
Service is fair only. I arrived at 7pm, they took 30 mins to send me my luggage and the staff is NOT willing to leave to get my tips until i open the door. When i……
“Such an amazing place to stay. Beautiful property right on a beach that is perfect for swimming. I stayed in a room which faced the ocean. Very private and quiet at night. The host prepared breakfast for me in the morning which was delicious including fresh fruits and homemade juice. The room was extremely clean. I would recommend this to anyone wishing for a clean and relaxing place to stay near Beruwala.”
“Es ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen.
Die Zimmer sind okay aber man sieht das Alter.
Die Betreiber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Einzig das Frühstück ist eintönig. Es gab immer Früchte, Toastbrot und Omelett. Einmal in 14 gab es Sri Lanka Frühstück. ”
