“Carlos is a wonderful host...he is incredibly responsive and really wants to make your stay comfortable. The duplex is well-equipped and very comfortable and Lexington has many parks and trails to explore....and it's the home of Carolina Barbecue! I enjoyed my stay! ”

“I never give bad reviews & this was my first bad experience with a VRBO. We were visiting for Wake Forest parents weekend, drove through the hurricane, arrived at dinner, & I messaged the host because we hadn’t received our code. He replied immediately (only positive) that he was sorry & had to cancel our reservation. It was 6pm. The condo was overbooked on another platform & someone had already checked in. I don’t understand how this happens because we received VRBO emails reminding us……

On the day of check-in, the host reached out and said the property was no longer available due to damages and offered an alternate location at no additional cost.This exchange was all done via text message between the hours of 11am and 3pm. “Centrally located property, within walking distance of movies, art galleries, and plenty of good eats. However, the place needs a little TLC. The floor was peeling and uneven. The bathroom seat was sliding off. Worse, the barnhouse doors trapped several members of our parties in the bathroom. Curtains in one of the bedrooms did not close, letting in light and sounds from the passing trains.”

“Check-in was quite blotchy and late due to the host being on a cruise and not being able to get messages to me easily. But finding out that the front door had been left unlocked for me 'as to be convenient' was extremely unsafe and unnerving to enter at that point. It was a nice location, nice neighbors, but excessively compacted yet quite. The rental was very clean. The mattresses/beds were both terribly uncomfortible and "springy" maybe worn out or just not made well. The bench in the bedroom……
