“Centrally located property, within walking distance of movies, art galleries, and plenty of good eats. However, the place needs a little TLC. The floor was peeling and uneven. The bathroom seat was sliding off. Worse, the barnhouse doors trapped several members of our parties in the bathroom. Curtains in one of the bedrooms did not close, letting in light and sounds from the passing trains.”

“Check-in was quite blotchy and late due to the host being on a cruise and not being able to get messages to me easily. But finding out that the front door had been left unlocked for me 'as to be convenient' was extremely unsafe and unnerving to enter at that point. It was a nice location, nice neighbors, but excessively compacted yet quite. The rental was very clean. The mattresses/beds were both terribly uncomfortible and "springy" maybe worn out or just not made well. The bench in the bedroom……

“My favorite place to stay when in Winston-Salem! Great location, beautiful, clean and well equipped 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment on the edge of Old Salem. Second bathroom is just outside the 2nd bedroom. Walking distance to 4th Street/downtown and Old Salem area. The only minor downside is the entrance to another property adjoin the main bedroom and it can occasionally sound like they are in the bedroom with you when on the stairs. ”

“The owner used the home to take a shower etc..in the middle of the rental. Two women in their 20's were using the rental they felt unsafe and unacceptable the owner thought he could still use it while it was rented for 7 days. He left his things out in the bathroom so it was clear he used it during their stay. Actually think given the issue we need a 50% refund.”

“The place was great. So nice and clean. Had mostly everything you’d need. We had an issue with the ac but the host was responsive and willing to help. They also followed up. But I do advise you to label the switch that’s connected to the ac unit. Neighborhood was quiet and well kept. Only notes are the beds are rocks, maybe add a foam topper. And there’s no way to heat up food fast, perhaps an air fryer or microwave would be a good addition. ”
