“Adorable cottage and beautiful property.We are older and do not have any subscriptions to Hulu or other streaming (things) so we weren't able to watch any TV. We did watch a cpl movies and Paul(the host) was trying to get an antenna hooked up so we could watch the news but that didn't happen while we were there. “The Red Star Cottage did not disappoint. Great spot for a small group of friends looking to get away from the city noise. The lake was great for our dog to swim and play and the paddle boat and row boat were out too. Pre season, so it was too chilly for us humans to swim. But lake was clean and sandy bottom! We had a bonfire with s’mores, grilled on the deck, and sat out under the stars. The cottage came with everything you would need. Only feedback would be more Tupperware to use for……

“This was a spot as close as possible to a very good fishing spot. The accommodations were very clean and very comfortable for two married men used to the creature comforts. Beds were comfy, the enclosed back porch was awesome. We had all we needed, and more! I will book it again, when the time is right!!”

“The Castaway Resort was exactly what I was looking for. Quiet, clean and cozy. My views of Croton Dam Pond were fabulous and I even got to see some Baltimore Orioles. I went for a week of solitude to spend time weaving on my little workshop loom. I had the peace and quiet I needed to concentrate. The Hosts, Bob and Joy were 100% available and accommodating, and my sweet dog Poppy was completely welcomed. I would definitely return. I'm thinking maybe in the fall when kids are back in……

“This was an excellent place to stay for the week. Honestly, I think it was the nicest VRBO I've stayed at for the similar cost. It was a week away from the grind with my husband, and 3 adult children, and one spouse. The boys caught fish of decent size from the dock and also from out boat, and absolutely loved it. The girls kicked back and shopped in adorable Pentwater, read and got some sun. We all enjoyed the fire pit for smores as well. The cleanliness and extras (TP, napkins, ketchup, wine!)……
