“The Eagles Nest at the Blue Heron Resort on Diamond Lake is not for everyone but we loved it. I say not for everybody in part because you need to take a series of stairs including nearly 30 steps to reach the cabin from the parking space provided. While we (both in our 70's) didn't have a problem, others may well prefer few stairs. The cabin is also not fancy or modern and has a few quirks including a noticeable slant towards the lake. “We had four adults staying here for a couple days while we were trail riding. Communication from the owner was great, checkin was easy, house was clean. My only complaint was the internet was so slow that it wasn’t usable and I had to work a few times so that was rough, but it’s in the middle of nowhere so that’s just how it goes. Highly recommend. Would stay here again. ”
