“The Eagles Nest at the Blue Heron Resort on Diamond Lake is not for everyone but we loved it. I say not for everybody in part because you need to take a series of stairs including nearly 30 steps to reach the cabin from the parking space provided. While we (both in our 70's) didn't have a problem, others may well prefer few stairs. The cabin is also not fancy or modern and has a few quirks including a noticeable slant towards the lake. “The property was absolutely beautiful. This is perfect for a space away from town as it is practically in the middle of the woods. It is a little far from town (about 20 mins) but it wasnt too bad. Additionally the path to the river is pretty steep, so it is a bit of a hike to get up and down. The beds were comfy and the living areas were super spacious. We had a bachelorette get away here and we would definitely come again for a summer getaway. ”

“Stayed here for a couple of days to spend the weekend fishing for steelhead on the Muskegon River. Accommodations were great; ample space for my husband and I, well stocked, clean and fun decor! Cozy and cute. The fishing was great too! Will definitely return.”

“This place has it all! It’s beautiful, clean, homey, provides so many amenities. You show up with clothes and food and you don’t have to leave! The hot tub, fire pit, fire place and scenery are amazing. I can’t wait to visit again! ”

“Spacious and beautiful log cabin. Located in gorgeous woods with hills and valley's. We enjoyed walking, sledding and snowmobiling. We hope to come back in a different season with different toys. ”
