It was as you would expect a cabin to be: minimalistic. All flatware, cooking and BBQ utensils, pot, pan and baking sheet were provided. Pots are sized for cabins. If you intend to cook large group meals bring your own. Very close to water, kayaks & life vests available. Paddle boat available for use. ”

“Cottage is awesome, clean and with all the amenities you could possibly need. We stayed for two nights for a quick getaway for my husbands birthday and visited Silver Lake Sand Dunes (approx 40 mins away) and used the rowboat to enjoy Big Star Lake and do some fishing. Beautiful view, as advertised and even better in person! Looking forward to a return trip :)”

“We stayed here for turkey hunting in the Manistee Forest. The beds are comfy, the shower is hot, neighbors are nice, and kitchen was simple but had everything we needed. ”

“The Eagles Nest at the Blue Heron Resort on Diamond Lake is not for everyone but we loved it. I say not for everybody in part because you need to take a series of stairs including nearly 30 steps to reach the cabin from the parking space provided. While we (both in our 70's) didn't have a problem, others may well prefer few stairs. The cabin is also not fancy or modern and has a few quirks including a noticeable slant towards the lake.
