“I stayed here in lieu of a hotel room in Salisbury for a work trip and it was worth the drive, only about 20 minutes from Salisbury. Heidi is extremely hospitable, her breakfast is excellent, including authentic English tea. It was very quiet, air conditioning worked amazingly well considering this is an old home, c 1800’s. The decor is adorable. The town is quite charming. Heidi made dining recommendations and did her utmost to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. My only regret is I……

“The property was absolutely beautiful. The lodge is perfect for birders and provides close proximity to Blackwater NWR. The staff were awesome and provided for a perfect stay. No complaints! A wonderful atmosphere and great conditions. ”

“ The location was perfect for what we came there for. The property itself is very old and needs a total renovation. The carpet throughout the facility was filthy and the mildew smell was everywhere. The people we met where very friendly and the staff was very nice. We stayed because there was no where else to stay. Not to mention the annoying siren. For a moment we thought it was "The Purge". The hotel needs a lot of work. Sorry, just being honest...”
