“Room was lovely and comfortable, spotlessly clean and much bigger than it looked on the website. Pub staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the food was delicious. Breakfast options were plentiful and for the price of the deal, I couldn’t recommend highly enough. If it had been twice the price, it would have been worth it. ”
“The Breakfast team are exceptional....food out of this world, one of the best breakfasts you will ever have at a hotel. We are elderly and Olivia was so kind to us during our stay. The pool was wonderful on a hot day. Plenty of beds in the morning and a great escape to the air conditioning in the afternoon.
Nicest bunch of people made this a great stay. Thank you to all the team”
“Wonderful business stay, staff so friendly Becky was a lovely and showed me to my room, served a great pint of guiness to, the young lady waitress had a lovely welcoming smile and very tentative, owners Ian & Lyndsey very welcoming and so helpful, definitely recommend the food i had steak pie beautiful. And the full English , all well priced.
Room absolutely wonderful
Definitely will be staying on business again ”
“Interesting old hotel in a great location. Interior is a little tired, especially in the rooms, but nice bar and helpful reception staff. We asked to move from the first room we were allocated due to the smell. Staff arranged transfer with minimal fuss and second room great.”
“Really nice pub, convenient for Ludlow and the Shropshire Hills. Winter weekend break for us, nice big clean quiet room, comfy bed, plenty of space and large bathroom. All the staff very friendly and efficient, had a nice meal there - steak well cooked - and the breakfast was tasty, good quality ingredients and served quickly and with a smile. The bar area was nice, log fire burning and lots of locals in there. One negative was the water temp in the shower - I imagine as it’s an old……
“Great location near the Cathedral and plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes nearby. Reasonably straightforward to check in, although the lighting at the entrance and in the stairwell could be improved - I needed to use my phone torch. The room was great and had a lot of character with a modern bathroom. One minor suggestion - they should change their brand of shampoo. My hair has never felt so gross and greasy after washing and drying! But it was a convenient and comfortable stay. ”
“The Queens is always our No.1 option whenever we stay in lovely Ludlow. It's got everything you could possibly need and the location is just perfect. The helpful and friendly staff are the icing on the cake! Can't wait to return in September. Highly recommended.”
“The views from the hotel are amazing and the staff are great. The room was very comfortable and had an old style Nespresso machine. Had a nice meal the first night with prompt service. ”
“venue is located on a cross roads of the A49 between Ludlow and Leominster which is a fairly busy junction at many times of day & night.
Also located next to a 24hour Asda service station and travel lodge which created vehicle move movements at all times of day & night.
We ate in the Salway hotel each night in addition to Breakfast and found the food & service helpful and attentive and the room adequate for our needs.
We had been to the hotel previously and found it suitable to our needs.”
“Great hotel,helpful staff, beautiful location.
Food was excellent. Hope to stay again.
Only fault was non existent wi fi in room. Had to go to restaurant to connect. Probably our room is just too far away from router.”
“This was easily the best place we’ve stayed all of our honeymoon! The staff were so sweet, room was beautiful and had an amazing view - breakfast was great and the bar was top notch as well! Definitely hope to make it out this way and stay here again ”
“A really friendly pub - the staff and owners were genuinely the friendliest I’ve ever found at a hotel. We had a lovely double room, which was really quiet and had loads of space. Breakfast was delicious - we had English breakfast, which is all sourced locally and cooked to order (definitely worth it). We also had dinner in the pub on evening - again, all locally sourced and better than many restaurants. The inn is very well located between Ross on Wye and Hereford, with lots of walks, gardens……
“Very clean and comfortable room, excellent position for exploring Malvern and walking the hills.
Would happily stay again.
Great view across the plain.”
“The hotel is situated a short walk outside of Ludlow, about 10 minutes walk from the castle and over a stone bridge. The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. My room had a view of the castle. A good breakfast was included in the price. The hotel has a bar which was open in the afternoon. There was no lift in the hotel, which is a problem with heavy luggage as I was on the 2nd floor.”
“Lovely clean room - it is over a pub so did not expect complete quiet.
Staff were helpful.
Outdoor area is more for pub customers but not the end if the world.
Lovely river with birds to watch.”
