“Just back from South Lodge and want to say thank you very much to Steve & Tony. We arrived early and the rooms were ready, they were spacious, clean, beds were comfy the decor was lovely. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of and not for the fainthearted. Parking at the property spot on as you dont always have that luxory. Well stocked Tea & Coffee in the room and the homemade cookies were very tasty and a chocolate finished off the welcoming. Toiletries were top quality. Nothing was too much……

“has everything you need for a short stay. Bedrooms and bathrooms are quite tiny and wardrobe space is limited. No problem if you are out and about most of the time but staying in might be a bit crammed. There is a small outdoor area to sit in - if you like talking to the neighbours as all chalets are close together.”

“This small country pub is less than 20 minutes from RSPB Bempton, so very convenient for visit to the seabirds. For those with four legged friends, it is dog -friendly. For those looking for good food, their meals and food quality excellent, using locally sourced ingredients. Their pies are home-made and delicious so highly recommended. Also good selection of ales. The rooms are very clean, but are starting to look a little dated, but as it’s run as a community pub, it is an excellent……

“Nice B&B with very friendly staff. No on-site dining other than (very good) breakfast but several pubs within a very short stroll - 1 to 2 minutes and Yorkshire coast town Filey just 3 miles drive away. Also a very good distillery with excellent cafe on the edge of the village”

“The owners are very friendly and helpful, and are also very nice people. Everything is spotless. Beds are very comfortable and warm. Breakfast is really excellent. Restaurant meals are also really good. The area is really quiet and peaceful. Plenty of private car parking. Will definitely stay there again. ”
