“If you are looking for a vfm option in West Bay this hotel is the place. We had room 7 on the first floor, spacious, whirlpool bath and even a teapot. In our opinion 2 negatives for this room, the mattress was way too soft and the seagulls from 0400hrs, can't really do anything about the 2nd being near the sea!!! The breakfast is quality, great choice and only £10 per day. The hotel is not statebor modern if that is what you are looking for, however the atmosphere and staff make up for it.”

“Liked the history and originality. Welcoming, happy, helpful. Lovely breakfasts with plenty of choice. Good size bedroom, but outside plant coming in the bathroom window. Would have liked instructions for coffee machine. Good instructions to get to the car park round the back. No lift (because of age of the building). but stairs could be challenging for any with severe mobility problems. ”

“Lovely country pub with loads of character. Located in a small village, in an isolated, quiet location. Warm welcome from the Land Lady and Scrappy Do. Friendly and helpful staff. Stayed two nights, room clean and comfortable with tea/coffe and TV. Free wifi, useful as there was no phone signal. Ate at the pub both nights, tasty, reasonably priced food. Recomend the Venison pie with a glass of red. Overall, an excellent stay, definately recommend. Will be staying again when back in the area.”

“Beautiful location with luxurious accommodations that have everything needed and the breakfast was great. Very elegant and close to the main nearby beaches. There's a fantastic Italian restaurant close by that is worth visiting. I highly recommend it and will definitely return!”

“I was slightly worried when we drove into the car park as it was a bit scruffy, but I needn’t have worried as the hotel is excellent, with large, comfortable, clean rooms, and really lovely staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.”
