“This is the first night we stayed in Toscana. The hotel is a real castle located on the top of the hill. The beautiful landscape of agricultural view seen from the hotel was panoramic and breathtaking. The family suite was cozy, containing one living room and two bedrooms. The thermal swimming pool was fantastic and spa center was amazing. Breakfast was flourish. The dinner was also good but overpriced actually. As a whole, I highly recommend staying in Catello di Velona as you visit Toscana.”

“This was our favorite accommodation during our long trip in Italy. The breakfast was amazing, and it was such a shame we didn’t have enough time to enjoy it properly due to our schedule. The kind staff even packed us some coffee and water for the road, which was so thoughtful and touching. The hotel is part of a stunning winery, and we regret not booking the Mastrojanni winery tour—we had other tours lined up, but if you stay here, definitely join their afternoon or next-morning tour. “Peaceful, Relaxing Stay in Tuscany We had a great experience here. The setting is quiet and secluded—felt like a true escape from everyday life. The golf was excellent, the food was consistently good, and the service was friendly and professional. It is remote, which adds to the charm, but just a heads-up: if you need anything like Advil or small essentials, the nearest town is about 20 minutes away on a dirt road. Overall, everything was well done. We’d absolutely come back.”

We did the wine tasting and really enjoyed that. This seems to be an up-and-coming winery and hotel, and we really enjoyed visiting it. Just wished we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend.”
