“We spent a long weekend at this house to escape the hustle and bustle of our busy lives for our wedding anniversary. My favorite parts were watching the sunrise against the Potomac River and relaxing in the hammock. It was so quiet, save for the occasional motor boat cruising by on the far side of the river. The house had all the basic necessities, and met all of our expectations. If you’re looking for a peaceful waterfront getaway, give this house a try. ”

“The property and the cottage are just beautiful [very quiet] and incredibly well appointed. The bed is super cozy. There is no kitchen but the coffee station was great to have. Note that the cottage shares the property with the main house. My husband and I enjoyed sitting by the river multiple times during our stay and we really appreciated our hosts’ hospitality and communication. Thank you for the beautiful respite!”

“Absolutely the grossest property I've been too. 5 spiders, 1 centipede, 1 dead cockroach. Master bedroom and bathroom both had see through curtains so people could look through. Hair in the sink and wads of hair stuck to the bathroom hinge. Window AC units had gaps in them so bugs could come in without hindrance. Leaves in the ac ducts(how). Couldn’t even cut the grass for before guest arrive. We didn't even stay there. ”

“This home is absolutely beautiful! The location is perfect for someone who wants to kayak, fish, boat or swim in the Potomac River. The house boasts three large adult rooms with comfortable beds and ensuite private baths. The Kitchen has ALL the amenities and is well stocked. The bunks in the kids room are tri-level, so larger adults would really struggle but kids will be very comfortable. “The location was perfect; you can walk to the beach, stores, restaurants! Chesapeake Beach looks like a scene from Gilmore Girls! 15 minutes from a larger town with more options. 40 minute scenic drive to Annapolis or D. C. The house is small but perfect for 2 people! Be aware that the master bed is a standard size, but the second bedroom has a daybed and pull out bed! The back yard has some insecure spots if you bring a pet, but we used sections of our pet pen to cover those. And no dishwasher,……
