The location couldn't be better—Walked each night to downtown after riding the Black Hills.The house itself was spotless and offered everything we needed for a comfortable visit. “House was great for our family of 4, had everything we needed including basic kitchen stuff so we could eat in a meal or two each day. Very easy walk to "downtown" Custer, nice to do that instead of driving, that way we felt a little less guilty about ice cream or pie after dinner I would caution, the stairs are rather "short" so we just had to be careful going downstairs as our feet would overhang, and I would have liked some outdoor furniture to enjoy the little front yard in the morning or……

“House was great, very well stocked , nice and roomy for us and comfortable, bed on main level is very comfortable ( although it’s tall) Kitchen was nice - loads of extras! The yard, surrounding area and views were awesome! House is close to all the main attractions that we wanted to go visit and a mile to Custer, which is a cute little town! ( my only minor complaints would be the road noise as it sits off a major road, there’s no AC and no fenced in yard for those traveling with dogs) ”

“Kelly and Curtis were amazing hosts! Our extended family of 9 stayed at Peaceful Pines July 26-Aug 2 2025. We had plenty of room and nice space for gathering all together between our outings. This location was PERFECT for our needs. We went to the Badlands prior to check in, then each day following check in we visited Jewel Cave, Wind Cave, Crazy Horse, and several trips to Custer and Sylvan Lake which were all very closely situated to the cabin. “This property exceeded all our expectations! When looking for somewhere to stay we wanted a place that was more secluded that would also be within distance of all of the places we wanted to visit. This property was beautiful and offered incredible views of the southern Black Hills. We enjoyed the pretty view of the stream and getting to see the deer and rabbits in the yard each day!
