“It was a nice, quiet stay in a quaint, old cabin styled house. With the age of the building, it was not very warm. The fireplace and upstairs pipe heat was nice, but an inconvenience. The fire really has to be going 24/7 to keep this drafty, inefficient house slightly warmed. When we arrived, the housekeeper had started the fire shortly before, which was very nice. Unfortunately, EVERY window was unlocked in the house and a few were even cracked open or not aligned right and didn't close. The……

“The host was great. She gave great instructions. We enjoyed the amenities at the house. It was also really close to McCloud Falls and some additional waterfall.”

“My friend and I spent the week fishing up in the McCloud area and this place was the perfect launching point for us. Close to restaurants so two tired fishermen could actually walk to dinner and coffee. Sue was a great hostess. Easy communication and of course the ice cream was great. Hoping to go back in the fall.”

“Our stay in Whitmore was comfortable. We stayed for 5 nights visiting family that live in the area. The home has all the things you need for a short or longer stay. It is pet and family friendly. We were traveling with our two dogs. The backyard is fenced for non escaping dogs. Which was fine for us as we supervised our dogs while outside. “Beautiful log cabin with large deck. Basement was a little musty but was a usually hot weekend for this area. Kitchen was great for large group. Be prepared for a long drive to house on dirt road! Overall met the needs of our group for a long wedding weekend. ”
