“From the moment you pull up to the Hobbit Hole you begin to notice all of the care and detail that make this space so magical. The hosts are on the premise and are so kind and make you feel so welcome, so at home. Opening the door to your room is like opening the door to a new world. You genuinely feel like you have stepped foot into a Tolkien novel. The space was so warm and cozy. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and delicious coffee! “Stayed 3 nights. Two retired men who fish near Burney this time of the year. The Bungalow was very clean and has everything you may want or need. The site makes you feel very secure and the enclosed small boat & trailer parking in the back yard area worked out perfect by not having to bring all your fishing gear into the house each night. You can’t beat the location for access and nearness to food shopping. Great, well supplied kitchen. Highly recommended by us and hope to stay there again.”

“Our goal was to see a number of the waterfalls, and this property is close to 3 nice ones. The property is big, the house comfortably sleeps 8 people and has lots of space to sit and hang around. The game room is a super nice addition, next to the pond, the pets (Dax the dog is fun!) and the on property walks, with a peek at Shasta peek. We used the barbecue a lot and just enjoyed this place. We will come again if we are in the neighborhood!!”

“Very clean house with deer everywhere ”

“We were heading north on a ten day tent camping trip and needed a place to stay for a night where the loaded down truck would be safe over night. So glad we found this place. My 10 year old son and I very much enjoyed the stay and it is as expected, super cool. Staying in a hobbit hole has now been checked of the old bucket list. Definitely recommend staying here and I’m sure we will be back. ”
