“This was a 1-night stay for work. Car park was free and small. The hotel is set back from the road, so you need to drive down a gravel roadway. Nice greeting on checking in. I was in room 6, which was great. Desk and chair to work at in room, comfortable bed, ensuite was lovely. The shower over the bath was not powerful. Lovely side lamps by bed. TV and internet were good. I also ate in bar (as there was no other choice nearby) and the homemade fish pie was tasty. Food ends at 8:30pm.”

“We did have an issue with the heating in the room, it was freezing, after we complained the manger suggested we went out for a pre booked appointment and upon return he would have it sorted We returned to find the room was still cold, we were immediately offered an upgrade to a much bigger suite in a differing part of the hotel. Well done to the staff ”

“Mis-sold this accommodation. This is a house share, with 5 bedroom, but was described as "You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party." on Expedia So I did not stay at Hillcroft.”

“Our room was very, very clean; linens crisp and nice, soft towels. The breakfast was displayed beautifully; fresh fruit, cheeses, meats, fresh bread, homemade pastries, cereals, yogurts, juices. Greg and Jackie so welcoming and friendly!”

“We would love to stay again, really enjoyed it. Room was comfortable, dinner & breakfast both relaxed and beautifully cooked. Dog freindly, so was great for us. The space is understandibly put aside mostly for diners with tables set up, but the bar area could really do with being larger and more comfy seating. Posh, obnoxious kids took over in the bar which was annoying, but that is not the establishments fault.”

“Our stay was faultless the room and restaurant was immaculately clean the staff were super friendly and efficient and the ambience was chilled and relaxing. The included breakfast was unlimited with great variety on offer and like the evening meal we had the night before was really high standard ( also very good value)We would definitely recommend Ffolkes as a destination to either stay or just eat at .i think you would be hard pressed to find better at this price or even higher ”

“Perfect venue. Location excellent for where we needed to be. Lovely friendly people who couldn't do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble. The place had a lovely warm feeling about it, lots to look at in the dining area and around the place, everything had been thought out so well. WONDERFUL.”

“This is the second time I've been with my other half and it was just as enjoyable as the first. The customer service is beyond reproach and there's a friendliness to the staff that is much appreciated. The Cementing meal that I had was wonderful. I had pigeon breast followed by halibut and then cheese board. Also had a nice bottle of Charlie's a glad of port. I'm hoping to make this an annual trip”
