“This apartment was a great location to walk to the shops and restaurants in Oak Bluffs. We typically don't rent 1 bed/1 bath properties but we would rent this one again. It was very large and very clean and comfortable. The morning sun, coming in from over the ocean was beautiful each morning and we could sit out on the balcony with our coffee and people watch. We rented a car, only to explore the rest of the island and that, too, was a convenient walk, less than a block away. All in all,……

“We came just for 2 days in December to visit friends, and loved the clean spaces, long wall of windows, great accessibility to French Memories and Powder Point. Everything worked like brand new and the beds were comfortable in large bedrooms with roomy closets. Landlord could not have been nicer and more attentive, checking on our heat and offering his number in case of any trouble. And his daughter runs the salon downstairs for extra backup.”

“Very sweet place for short-term stay. Once on the island, owner was very communicative. The listing is accurate - if you want to cook meals, keep in mind that there is no stove, hot-plate, or toaster, so it worked for us for a weekend (although would have loved a toaster!) The only reason for the 4 stars on cleanliness was because there was a pair of socks from previous renter left in the bathroom, but otherwise clean! It was great with our dog - very comfortable, not overly precious but still……

“On the good side, the location was even better than anticipated. Easy to walk to shops and restaurants. Parking was easy and directions to enter were good enough. In the unit, the kitchen and living room were nice and spacious, as pictured. Most convenience items were supplied. However, we were disappointed with the pervasive mildewy old house smell. “The house was clean and nice for an older structure. It appears that the surrounding land is used for boat storage or something. Didn’t bother us but was unexpected. The house itself was clean and the property owner didn’t bother us which is super nice. We would stay again! ”
