“Our 3rd stay at Seaside Sanctuary and this time we stayed 2 weeks. Stacey is always super-communicative and the house has everything you could possibly need. We were able to get in some nice day trips down to the Schoodic Peninsula of Acadia National Park, Milbridge, Calais, Eastport, Reversing Falls, Machias & Jasper Beach. We caught a sunrise at West Quoddy Head Lighthouse and explored Cobscook Shores and points around Lubec and the Bold Coast. We spent about 1/2 the time there just "being" at……

“House was lovely, very clean and thoughtfully stocked; even fresh flowers in several of the rooms. Beds were comfortable and set up for cold weather as we were there in December. Our host, Gabriela, was highly responsive and welcoming. And the views of the water were beautiful, highly recommend.”

“We needed a place to collapse and reset! This was perfect! Secluded and private with a beautiful sandy beach overlooking the lake. Not having to transport our own kayaks was a great plus; kayaks in good shape. The light over the main dining table was not working, as well as a few electric outlets -- we bought a lantern at Walmart in Calais and did just fine. Got a few really cold showers -- finally figured out one of us needed to shower in the am and the other in the pm to get 2 hot……

“We loved our time in this home! Jeanne was super easy to get in touch with, and even though there was a mixup with her cleaner, she went above and beyond to make sure the mistake was made right. The home was very comfortable & the view from the upper deck is gorgeous. The bed we used was very comfortable as well and the workout room was a nice perk! Just be aware that there is another downstairs back apartment, so you'll want to keep the back bedroom sliding door curtain closed as it goes out to……

“We spent 4 nights at Birch Haven in July. It’s in a lovely, quiet, remote location just under 9 miles from Lubec. The cottage is well-equipped and comfortable, surrounded by woods. The pictures are an accurate representation. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from the deck, listening to birds, watching squirrels do their thing. We saw deer as we drove in and out of the home and spotted seals in the harbor. Really loved watching the tides come in and out, and smelling the sea. The tidal range was……

“Another amazing stay at one of the best rentals available in Eastport Maine. The owners are truly amazing even offering me an extra night to avoid the pending snowstorm on Christmas Eve. This really meant a lot and just goes hand and hand with the quality of this great rental. Everything about the house was perfect for our third holiday spent there. Couldn't ask for a better experience, location, and level of comfort.”

“Perhaps a little to isolated for us. The junk yard across the road was a little off putting. All in all we still enjoyed our stay, the home was comfortable and certainly well stocked. Have a great view of the cove.”
