“Overall, our stay in Lubec was amazing! The location was fantastic - beautiful views, and less than 10 minutes from town. The house was lovely and well supplied. The lobster pot was perfect and the kitchen was very well stocked. There were a lot of flys in the house during our week there. Never did figure out where they came in the house, but they were bad and they did bite! Also a lot of spider webs that had not been knocked down in a while. The upstairs deck furniture cushions were too……

“The space, location and layout of this house was really nice for our group of seven friends and we had a great week. The host was very responsive and communicated well. The heat was not working downstairs upon arrival, but he had a repairman come in to fix it and he also came over immediately when we were having trouble turning the fire pit on. House seemed neat and tidy when we first arrived, but we quickly noticed the floors were not well swept or vacuumed and both a coffee table and side……

“Another amazing stay at one of the best rentals available in Eastport Maine. The owners are truly amazing even offering me an extra night to avoid the pending snowstorm on Christmas Eve. This really meant a lot and just goes hand and hand with the quality of this great rental. Everything about the house was perfect for our third holiday spent there. Couldn't ask for a better experience, location, and level of comfort.”

“We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The house is very large, and the hosts have added so may extra touches, that make it really feel like a home. It's beautifully decorated, and the kitchen is equipped with anything that you might need. There is a great guest book with a lot of info about local dining, places of interest, and lots of info about the house. All in all, it is a gorgeous house, with all the extras you could ask for. “Our 3rd stay at Seaside Sanctuary and this time we stayed 2 weeks. Stacey is always super-communicative and the house has everything you could possibly need. We were able to get in some nice day trips down to the Schoodic Peninsula of Acadia National Park, Milbridge, Calais, Eastport, Reversing Falls, Machias & Jasper Beach. We caught a sunrise at West Quoddy Head Lighthouse and explored Cobscook Shores and points around Lubec and the Bold Coast. We spent about 1/2 the time there just "being" at……

“Firstly Kelly the property manager was amazing when I had a problem with my credit card. Second, the house was very clean! The house was just right for us. Cozy and has good vibes:) yard for the kids and hammock were lovely and can’t beat the kitchen view. Location is close to Quoddy light and lubec center and groceries. All you need is within 10 min. We would happily stay in this sweet little house again.”

“We needed a place to collapse and reset! This was perfect! Secluded and private with a beautiful sandy beach overlooking the lake. Not having to transport our own kayaks was a great plus; kayaks in good shape. The light over the main dining table was not working, as well as a few electric outlets -- we bought a lantern at Walmart in Calais and did just fine. Got a few really cold showers -- finally figured out one of us needed to shower in the am and the other in the pm to get 2 hot……

“We spent 4 nights at Birch Haven in July. It’s in a lovely, quiet, remote location just under 9 miles from Lubec. The cottage is well-equipped and comfortable, surrounded by woods. The pictures are an accurate representation. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from the deck, listening to birds, watching squirrels do their thing. We saw deer as we drove in and out of the home and spotted seals in the harbor. Really loved watching the tides come in and out, and smelling the sea. The tidal range was……

“This was a terrific get away! At first we weren’t sure when our requested cabin suddenly was not available, but, wow, it was so peacefully awesome. I didn’t want to leave and go back to reality! “The property and views were so much better than expected! We especially enjoyed the wicker recliners on the deck for watching the sea life and tides. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the location was great. Easy into town yet very private. We enjoyed our time at Birch Point and the Lubec area. Maine is a favorite vacation spot, and we will certainly look to return if our travels bring us north again. Thank you!”
