“This house and property was so peaceful. The woods were fun to explore during the day, but at night- the fire pit, fireflies and hot tub were delightful! The proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway and hiking PLUS the town’s restaurants and antique shopping made for the perfect vacation for all age groups. Very comfortable for 6-8 adults. Keep in mind, this is a 100 year old house meant for relaxing and enjoying the out-of-doors. No fancy extras, but comfy beds, very clean, and plenty of……

“As a solo traveler I got the peace and serenity I was looking for. The view of the lake from different rooms in the house was breathtaking and soothing. Lots of wildlife and you can watch the fish jumping in the air. The kayaks and the paddle board enhance d the feeling of being one with the lake. My dog loved to lie on the upper deck and watch nature and the deck was completely fenced making it safer for my furry friend. ”

“Staying at the Tranquil Retreat has been so much nicer than staying at a hotel. Plenty of space for 3 adults and we really appreciated the upgraded amenities, including the wonderfully comfortable beds. Great, well stocked kitchen, very easy to prepare a meal and nice to have a washer and dryer. This is our second stay here to visit our daughter, and we will certainly be back.”

“Tyler's weekend "wee" treat was an adorable little tiny house that was the perfect stay for a few nights. The tiny house looked exactly like the photos, and was on a very quiet dead-end road. It was a beautiful drive to get here! Since I was in the area for work, a basic kitchen and solid Wi-Fi were must-haves, and the tiny house did not disappoint. I was by myself, but you could comfortably fit two people. I'll be looking forward to staying here again the next time I'm in town! ”
