“We chose Valentine’s Day weekend for our stay in Mount Airy, which was a town we have wanted to visit for some time now. Of course we did the touristy stuff and visited all of the Andy Griffith sites, wearing ourselves out. “If you’re looking for a modern, luxurious, secluded location this is not for you. But if you are looking for a rustic farmhouse reminiscent of your grandparents or great grandparents and within walking distance of Main St, this place will work. Keep in mind it is a 1930’s house with a lot of the original “charm”. We loved it and plan to stay again.”

“Rented Blackwater for my 40th birthday celebration. I couldn't imagine a better place if I tried. The home is beautiful, comfortable, and well-appointed. The arcade was beyond my dreams! The decorations for Halloween made it even better. We're already planning a return in the summer. Communication with the host was fast and reliable, and they added some personal touches for my birthday that were very sweet and definitely appreciated. The kitchen also had everything we needed!
