“Very charming hotel with a lively vintage vibe and an excellent restaurant. The room and general interior seemed tired, but everything was very clean and smelled lovely. The courtyard beer garden is very characterful! The staff were all young and cheerful and the food was phenomenal! Do go for their recommendation of house beers - Arkell's Brewery, very good brew. My partner and I often go for short city breaks and recently decided to steer clear of AirBnB for ethical reasons and seek out local……
“We stayed at Whitley Coach House to spend a few days in the area before attending a wedding in Frome. Tim and Ginny’s communication was excellent, and they were even kind enough to provide a travel cot last minute as we had ordered one ourselves that we didn’t think would come in time (although it did in the end).
The coach house itself was spacious enough for the three of us, with everything one might need for a few days away. ”
“A quiet and safe building in the garden of a larger house that you park directly outside. Excellent hostess who was very helpful. We had a cosy evening before a short drive to Longleat safari park. Thanks for looking after us. ”
“Owner Mike is friendly and service and his breakfast cooking was good.
One thing I feel can further improve is, when we arrived at the hotel around 1700hrs it was already total darkness as we are travelling in winter Dec 2024.
Mike should install a lamp by the sign board where the instructions for the guests, to guide the guests to the instruction’s board, as the winter darkness make it challenging for us.
He should also change the blackboard to others board as the chalk on the blackboard……
“It’s in a cute little town in a good central location for South western England. We used it for a 5 day home base to visit different locations near by. The Host, Kathryn is very nice and a great host. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. Breakfast was taylored to what you wanted and very good. Highly recommend ”
