“Upon arrival and making it into the building, we were faced with 3 rooms. We had no idea which room was ours and none of our emails from SCP indicated the name of our room. We had to write and wait for info. We were in the Lorenzo room which was down a dreaded, tight spiral staircase. The room was basically clean if you overlooked the dead bugs along the window sill in the bathroom. Warning: no fridge in the room so good luck keeping your vodka cold. And when attempting to open the outside entry……

“Room with a view! Very nice! Contrary to some other reviews, our room was nicely clean nd the staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very generous and tasty with a very attentive and friendly server. Strolled around and found a wonderful gourmet restaurant nearby on the main road with a view of the lake. “We stayed at hotel La Vela while attending a wedding nearby. We were more than pleasantly surprised by the hotel itself. It was in an excellent location within the town, on a quiet street a couple of minutes walk from the historic center & lake. Rooms were clean with a balcony & nice bathroom & beds very comfortable. We extended our stay for an additional night so that we could cycle around Lake Trasimeno. Silvia was wonderful to suggest parking areas in the nearby towns for visiting the sites &……

“The owner of the hotel Francesca is literally there 24/7. You get anything that you need in a heartbeat. The room is really big, it also had a balcony and a spacious shower room. The lake is very close therefore it is easy to walk or cycle there. We rented the bikes just for €5 for a half day from the hotel. A boat ride to the Island was very enjoyable.
