“Overall we were pleased with our experience at this rental. The apartment was clean, and although not brand new, it was all operating as it should. The communication was very easy. This unit is as listed on VRBO and in a location immediately across from the beach and a short drive to the beautiful state park. Easy for me to recommend.”

“The property is as described. The space is not very big, but it is cozy! We had 2 teenagers and my husband and I. We had space to cook, sleep, and play board games. We set out crab traps and had a crab boil at the end of the weekend. The dock is very nice! There are lots of items for you to use at the dock (crab traps, kayaks, etc) and items for the beach. We went to St. George Island for the beach and it was about 15 minutes away. It was labor day weekend, and we had no issue finding a……

“Great relaxing getaway for my husband and 2 kiddos. Easy access to the beach and pool was perfect for what we wanted. Beach bum cottage had everything we needed, clean, and great location. We rented a golf cart from the property manager, and that was a fun added bonus to our stay on the island. We will be back!”

“I loved how fully stocked the kitchen is! Made cooking meals for the family a breeze. The dining table is large enough for family dinners and board games. Two blocks walk away from the beach solves the parking issue :) The units caretakers make huge strides to make sure every detail is taken care of. Our family of 10 felt spaced out and relaxed.will love to come back again!”

“I have nothing but high praises for this property. It was bright and greeted you as soon as you come around the corner. The interior was immaculate and we had virtually no issues with our stay. The bathroom with both a soaking tub and large shower… I LOVED it! When we arrived, the main interior door knob was previously loosened which made closing the door near impossible. I reached out to Vacasa as soon as I noticed it, and quite literally, had a solution in place within 30 minutes. A complete……

“This was my third time at The Whale! I absolutely adore John’s place! The inside is very comfortable and clean. The A/C works great - stays very cool! The beds are super comfortable and the new fridge makes plenty of ice! The hot tub is my favorite feature where you can relax after a long day at the beach and gaze at the sky filled with stars. The location is awesome - very close to restaurants and the grocery. Also, a walking path to the beach across the street is a nice plus! John is a lovely……

“Awesome experience. The house was fantastic. We booked it for two nights and really wished we'd booked longer. Situation is perfect, the island is incredible. Kids loved the pool. Laundry facilities were really welcome (we were over from the UK at the midway point of a long trip around the Southeastern US). Everything we needed was in place. Such a short walk to the beach. Such a short walk to great, well priced, restaurants and bars. Really comfortable beds. Also, comms with the management……
