“It was an excellent location for quick access to downtown and UAB. By far though, the staff were AMAZING!!! Everybody from the valet to the front desk, bartender, and cleaning staff was soooo friendly. I travel a LOT and I can’t think of the last time staff was that friendly. “The front desk area was terrible. I walked up to the "Front" desk, but since we were checked in to Hilton Gardens Inn, we were directed to go around to the "Back" desk? “A bit of a mixed review. So I guess it depends on your personal preferences and type of visit. This property is an older property with two old very small elevators. Family and friends booked most of the hotel for my daughter’s wedding. Only one of the elevators was working our entire stay. Very inconvenient for a weekend of wedding activities and quick in and out changes. We were on the 12th floor so stairs were not an option in high heels and long gowns.
