“Very clean and cosy room full of character.”

“We had a wonderful stay at the shepards hut. The heating and lights had been put on reasy for our arrival as we were later than the check in time . Carol the owner had messaged me earlier in the day with directions which was a nice welcome. She had also given us a lovely recommendation for somewhere to eat that evening. We really enjoyed our stay. ”

“Absolutely stunning stay! This place is so peaceful and really allows you to ‘switch off’. The cottage was lovely, very spacious and homely. The only niggle we would have to mention would be the bed which wasn’t very comfortable at all (sorry) and good luck if you’re taller than 5’9! Other than that everything was really lovely and would definitely recommend. We would love to visit again if the bed was replaced for one that was bigger and more comfortable 😊”

“We stayed as it was local to an event we had the next day, can’t complain for the price so overall happy. Breakfast is continental so no cooked or warm food, not sure if there is any option but couldn’t see any and wasn’t offered so i assume not. Very quiet location, value for money.”

“Room was beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was great. Great location for the area. Loud, verbal fighting in courtyard outside of room after bar closed was unpleasant but fairly short lived. ”

“The accommodation was comfortable and clean, and well equipped. It was ideally situated for touring around the area, and even though the apartment was in the town, it was quiet and only a few minutes walk to shops and eating places. The owner was quick to respond to a query we had, and gave us useful information prior to our visit. A relaxing and enjoyable stay, plenty of places to visit and local walks. ”

“A proper hotel, well maintained and clean. The staff were professional but friendly. They were approachable, knowledgeable, always willing to help, and did things properly without taking themselves too seriously. The room was a good size, comfortable, and tastefully decorated”

“Our stay was fabulous. The food is 12/10 We had our dog with us so we had to eat in the bar but it has a roaring fire and a lovely atmosphere and I’d argue this was the best seat in the house. Our room was in a little outbuilding and it was just perfect. Super quiet of a night too. The servers are all very young and the best and most smiley service I’ve had in a long time ”

“Great apartment, more of a 1 bedroom house as two floors. Clean, comfortable and well-stocked with everything needed (eg kitchen appliances, cutlery, plates, oven pots and pans). Bar over the road and Spar shop next door for convenience.”

“Lovely room with roll top bath, very comfortable bed .loved the tea and coffee station but had no milk but wasnt a problem just had tea black.”
