“El Convento is always a great choice for Old San Juan. Our room this time did have a disagreeable view of the squalid property’s roof which was next door. Management could not move us but were very apologetic and sincere in taking our concerns seriously. We always stay at El Convento. ”

“The hotel’s location is superb: in the middle of old San Juan. You are close to everything. It’s very basic accommodation but clean and with a very good air conditioner. The only problem is the noise from the street. You hear absolutely everything and it doesn’t stop till 3:00am. So, next time I would not request a room with a balcony ( it’s decorative and useless, you can’t sit there). Plus, they have a nice patio on the top floor ”

“Staff assisted with every question we had and helped point out great local places to eat. The area was a bit loud at times but to be expected given the location and narrow streets. Had a great time for a quick visit to PR it was a perfect location for those interested in history and culture. ”
