“Great place to stay with dogs. Nice rooms and a kitchen. They also provide EV Car charging which I took advantage of for £20/day. This property does not come up on the Hotels.com search filter for EV charging locations. ”

“This hotel doesn’t disappoint. The staff are not just efficient and friendly but happy doing their jobs, whatever they do. That reflects back onto the experience of staying here. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean and so comfortable. The restaurant is well organised with plenty of menu choice including vegetarian food. Breakfast is from a menu and individually prepared, thank goodness there’s no buffet. We felt quite spoilt with the attention we received. This is our second stay in this……

“It was all excellent particularly the breakfasts and I liked having a fridge. One star lost for Eco -friendly because no container for recycling, tiny plastic containers for shampoo and my hand towel was unnecessarily replaced (although i appreciate the good intentions). I had a lovely room with antique-type decorations. ”

“Lovely stay - room was great, parking behind was easy. We had two issues (completely our own not to do with the property) and that they really promptly helped us with. Communication was brilliant!”

“Never made it into the building so no comment on room. No means of entering building, no phone calls answered for help and no parking, as advertised. Total waste of my money for a room I never even used.”

“Both the chord for the window blind and the light in the bathroom had snapped off. You had to be a least 5 foot tall to turn it on. I had to pull the bed out to plug my bedside lamp in. There were not enough electrical points in the room. They were not doing breakfasts either which was disappointing. The overall appearance would be described as tatty especially the bathroom with tatty paint work on the door surrounds and radiator. The shower was good the beds clean and the towels were fresh.”

“Mis-sold this accommodation. This is a house share, with 5 bedroom, but was described as "You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party." on Expedia So I did not stay at Hillcroft.”
