“Always like to stay in the Angel Hotel, Cardiff . Staff friendly always a nice welcome which is a must on reception. Breakfast well recommended good value for money. Rooms lovely and clean basic & comfortable. ”

“This is a very nice hotel and the rooms are spacious. We are satisfied with this comfortable stay experience. But I think a minor thing may need to be improved. The temperature of bath/shower is not very steady, and it dropped down after several minutes. Besides, the water from tape also took several minutes to become warm. Since we visited in April and it is still a bit cold, when I washed my hands I felt a bit freezing. It would be better to access hot water more easily.”

“The first room assigned to me is of no air condtioning, which is excessively hot in day time. Upon request, the hotel change one with air conditioning, but at a lower floor with internal view on the reception hall. The room decoration is of simple type and acceptable. But a number of room facilities like door lock, light bulbs need repair.”

“The location is impeccable but being in the city centre it can be quite noisy at night because of all the bars & clubs downstairs. The triple room is on the 4th floor so noise wise it's tolerable for just one night but be prepared to lift your luggages up the 100-step stairs. The room is better than expected, really clean & tidy. One down side is this hotel doesn't have its own reception so have to check in at the hotel across the road instead.”

“This is NOT A HOTEL..Its STUDENT HOUSING. Mold in bathroom and room smelled like curry..No air conditioning, no tv bed was HORRIBLE…I feel sorry for anyone who stays there even the students…Worst room ive had in YEARS..The staff was awesome tho and VERY nice and accommodating…the amount I paid for this place was CRIMINAL…DO. OT STAY HERE unless its a last Minute thing and NOTHING else is avail….seriously…”

“Stayed for weekend, and we'd stay again if in the area. The food was lovely -far better than you usually expect invluded with the meal. If we had paid another £100 on top of the room price, we would have felt it was value for money. Room very clean (to be picky, a touch small but fine for a weekend) and staff lovely and attentive”
