“"Custom log house" is an understatement... it's a joy to see how a master craftsman can build a home. And the story of how it was built (provided by the owner/builder) is an incredible read.This is a lovely place in a great location on Grand Mesa. Excellent hiking, biking, birding and paddling all within a few miles.An incredible spot if you enjoy spending time in this part of western Colorado.”

“The property was great. Very clean, more than enough room for four guys on their annual golf outing. Easy check in and all the amenities we could have asked for. Great area for grilling and sitting by the fire pit.”

“Wow! What a wonderful experience for my wife, our adult daughter, and myself! The house met and exceeded our expectations. One of the critical elements of a great stay is environmental and July is warm and the A.C. worked amazing! We stayed cool and comfortable. The kitchen had every amenity, several meals were grilled outside, the living areas provided all the creature comforts of home. The view from every part of the back of the house is stellar, the deck patio was a morning and nightly……

“We stayed at Dirk and Connie’s VRBO for a fun wine tour getaway with friends. We were exited to have found such a great house available in a location central to such fun vineyards. But truly once we arrived the house and location exceeded our expectations! The house is in an orchard with breathtaking views all around. It was serene and relaxing. “The property was beautiful and it was quiet. Just want we were looking for. I also really appreciated that we didn't have to do a bunch of cleaning/chores during checkout. Really makes a vacation feel more like a vacation.”

“My siblings and I had a great stay at the lodge. Lots of wildlife and beautiful gardens. A short drive to some of the most spectacular views on the Grand Mesa and under an hour to Palisade and Grand Junction. The interior of the space was comfortable and spacious for five adults, with a well-equipped kitchen. It’s clear David and Deese take great care to keep the property clean and in good repair. Glad we gave it a chance!”

“Great space with a fully stocked kitchen. Nice to see a great variety of pans and baking dishes for those of us who really like to cook. Spacious and convenient to downtown Palisade, we walked in several times. Clean with tons of linens and towels when we arrived. Quiet, comfortable, and spacious. ”

“The property was very modern and unique. The amenities were also really nice and comfortable (pillows, bedding, towels). Just a couple things that didn't go too well. As we were cooking breakfast, we lost power to the oven (maybe too many appliances on the same breaker?) I tried calling the host for help and didn't get an answer. I also tried the emergency number with no answer. Luckily I was able to find the breaker box and reset the breaker that was tripped. Also, I found some nail clippings……

“We were up for a weekend wedding at Powderhorn Resort. We were 1/2 mile from the resort which was super helpful. Views were beautiful from the balcony. We saw some wildlife including a bear! The host is so attentive, polite, and quick to reply. The townhome was comfortable and fully stocked with everything we needed including a pack and play and toys for my 9 month old, which was awesome. We have no complaints, this place fit our needs perfectly. Thank you for a lovely stay! Julie”
