“Great hotel! Modern and clean. Comfortable bed and pillows. Friendly, helpful and efficient staff. On the first night of our stay, the air conditioning in our room was not working. After communication with the reception staff at 2am, he checked us into another room immediately. Really appreciate his efficiency as it was already very late. Had a comfortable stay!”

“Firstly, the location is excellent. Very easy to navigate from the train station. Upon entrance into the property, you are welcomed by extremely friendly and professional staff. Whilst admiring the decor and furnishings you are even offered a beverage when signed in - a wonderful touch. Once in your room, you will enjoy a well cleaned, beautifully lit, main bedroom, bathroom & shower. Overall, a joyous experience, with quaint nearby dining options. The hotel food, also lovely. “The service apartment is spacious and tidy, facilities are in very good condition. They also provide a number of utensils and cutlery so that you can cook in the dining room. I appreciate their welcome drinks especially hot chocolate and tea bags are freely provided in the apartment. The carpark will be a bit spooky, but it only cost about 15 pound for 24 hours and the security would be comparatively better than on-sheet parking or outside carpark. “The beds were comfortable, the managers were very friendly and the village is lovely. It's not a fancy place, and breakfast options are simple English breakfast fare, but overall this is a gem of a place if you're hiking or exploring Peak District, especially if you need parking. We appreciated the family room option with a bunk bed for the kids and double for the adults. Note, this is not a good option for persons with mobility issues (stairs).”
