“Hotel is well-run, clean and affordable. A small bar and restaurant in basement was convenient and had a good open layout. I thought the food was good, hearty midwestern style, with fresh salad and thoroughly cooked veggies. No problem there. There is an outdoor pool, but I was there in winter, so pool not open. Slightly odd building layout means that there is one elevator for floors LL (Lower Level) to 4, and about 20 yards away, another elevator from floors LL to 5. Not a big problem,……

“I booked this hotel for two nights, but after first night, the cleaning staff removed all of my belongings left in the room when I was out. After I found this, the staff told me that expedia only reserved my room for one night, and it proved later that their argument was wrong. Finally, they found my staff in their collection center. What a terrible management.”

“So relaxing and beautiful surroundings! Our hosts were amazing and the cookies at check in were so delicious!! The town of Elsah is literally you taking a step back in time! Over 50% of the town is the original buildings from the mid 18 hundreds! The Bald Eagles were very active when we were there! Our hosts gave us a private tour of the town’s museum it was amazing! You can’t go wrong staying there and visiting ”
