“Wrote to them asking for early check in around 1pm for 3pm check in, no reply. Not a problem, early check in isn’t a guarantee. Get to the property 10 mins before check in and no one is there, wait around for 30 mins, no one there, no one answering in the app, no one picking up the phone. By 340 called Vrbo who canceled my reservation around 4pm the property called asked if I left, I said I did and booked somewhere else, no apology, no reasoning, just “ok” and hung up. “The home is way more private and beautiful than I knew to expect from the photos. We were really kind of blown away. What a beautiful place in a beautiful home in a beautiful town with a gracious and responsive host. The house is a short (7 or 10 min) walk from downtown Shelburne Falls where there are numerous diners, cafes, restaurants and shops. I’m a cyclist and there were amazing rides immediately accessible right out the front door - I did 25 to 35 mile rides each day, road and mixed/gravel……

“I spent a delightful week at this adorable lake house. Our host, Kevin, could not have been more helpful. Check-in was a breeze and he was very responsive to texts whenever I had a question. The house is as presented and very comfortable and attractive. We love to cook, and the kitchen was well appointed. I was worried one would not be able to see Shaw Pond when the trees are in leaf, but there was a spectacular view! And we had a chance to take the (on site) Canoe for a spin. Very convenient to……
