De hjalp oss å booke bor på restauranter, og tok oss til og med rundt på en kveldstur hvor Angelo fortalte min sønn om byens historie samtidig som de viste oss hvordan vi kom oss til togstasjon, hvor den beste gelato var osv. De gjorde oppholdet vårt magisk. Vi kommer tilbake til både La Maison og denne nydelige byen.……

“Foul weather caused our British Airlines flight to divert to the little town of Bari. We were a plane full of holiday travelers just off-loaded at 8 pm and told by BA - here is your luggage, we will leave in 12 hours, good luck finding accommodations for yourself.
Using Expedia I was able to get a room at this hotel pretty quickly. Others in flight not so lucky, hotels were booking up fast as our flight was not the only unexpected aircraft to divert to Bari.

"The service was great. We parked at the parking lot recommended by the hotel, and there was a free shuttle that took us to the hotel. We stayed in a separate room, which had a bit of a damp smell. The room was about a 5-minute walk from the reception and the breakfast/spa area — it took a few time to remember the route. But getting lost in Matera is also a kind of romance."
