“The property was great for us. The hotel is well looked after. Our room was a good size and very nice. The lobby/reception area was very nice. We sat there a couple nights after dinner and enjoyed a nice glass of wine with a few other guests. Also a very nice pool area if you’re there in the warmer weather. Maria was very helpful and booked us a wine tasting and a river cruise. I would highly recommend this hotel. I would definitely stay there again. ”

“Loved this hotel! Amazing views and wonderful staff. Angela was so helpful in getting us a reservation at a nearby vineyard for a tour and tasting. You’ll definitely need a car, as there really is nothing within walking distance. “OMGosh this is the prettiest hotel. Right on the Douro River. Every nook is a surprise. All the rooms are slightly different so choose wisely and be specific. We had a wonderful dinner in the the restaurant. All the food was very good, just be aware if you have food restrictions etc. as "no dairy/milk" seems to be get confused. Just ask to speak to someone who knows as they actually pride themselves on being able to accomodate Gluten and Dairy free . Having said this, the breakfast is……

“This is probably my first hotel review. I felt I needed to get a review as a thank you to the exceptional service we received at this place. They could not have been more accommodating and nicer.
