While Louisville let us down a bit with a closed Museum in the Historic District we were wanting to see, the crazy cost of downtown parking and lack of activities during the week, our hotel Concierge, Curtis made up for it with his helpful suggestions, his winning charm that made us feel at home, his going the extra mile in dropping us off and picking us up when we needed it after an evening downtown. “Beautifully restored house with spacious, clean rooms. The staff were all extremely nice and accommodating. They even thought of all the little things that make a B&B special like leaving rain ponchos out for the guests on rainy days and leaving a variety of freshly baked goods out for late night snacks. It was a 15 minute ride to Churchill Downs and 5 minutes from downtown Louisville. But, there were many restaurants and pubs in short walking distance. I highly recommend the Market Street Inn. ”

“The hotel itself is very unique; great ambiance. I was incredibly disappointed that the valet attendant left a SMOKE smell in my new car! Also, I called the front desk half a dozen times for a roll of toilet paper and no one ever answered. I finally went downstairs to find the front desk employee hanging out. After our room was cleaned the bathroom trash was left in the middle of the walkway with the toilet seat flipped up.”

“Very comfortable bed and great shower. Quiet room. Terrific location walking distance to many places downtown. Would be a five star but for absence of good workspace in room (no desk). Not an issue for non-business travel, but if you need to work in the room, there is not a good comfortable place to do so.”
