We spent the evening enjoying outside in the fresh, crisp air listening to the soft clucking of the chickens and watching ducks waddle through the yard.The homemade breakfast was a highlight. “What a gem! Our family met here (geographically in between our north and south locations) for a week of togetherness and adventuring. The house has room for everyone! Beds and beds and beds — and they are all comfortable! We enjoyed coffee in the sunroom and a lovely evening around the fire in the backyard. Although it rained for a good part of our trip, we still had time to explore Thurmond, Nuttallburg, see some waterfalls, hike a little in Babcock State Park, and drive into the Gorge and……

“We wanted a relaxing getaway for a long weekend and that's exactly what we got. The house is located right on the river and we spent our mornings and evenings on the deck enjoying the view. It is within an hour to New River Gorge National Park and several state parks. There is plenty of space to explore near the house with the Elk River Trail right across the road. The house is clean and well-equipped and the owners are very communicative. We would definitely stay here again if we are going to……
