“This is a lovely small hotel with nicely decorated rooms. It was very quiet; we rarely saw other guests or staff, which made it feel nicely private. Breakfast, while simple, was perfectly adequate and actually available all day. The only thing I didn't like is that the bed is really high; I'm very short and could have used a small step stool to climb in with ! But it was very comfortable and we slept well. This was a nostalgic trip for us, as we used to own one of the houses next door (40 years……

“Vassar visitors: stay here! Le Chambord is comfortable and well-maintained. It is a historic property that has clearly been well kept by the Curry sisters! The bedroom was HUGE - furnished beautifully with a desk, dresser, couch, chair, mini-fridge, closet, and a king sized bed. The bathroom was fabulously renovated with a new shower, floor tiles, and countertop. The parlor has a beautiful chess board and Scrabble set - we sat and played in the morning. “This hotel is very affordable, and very comfortable, convenient and friendly. The beds were very comfortable. The microwave and refrigerator were so helpful since we like to economize by buying food at the supermarket rather than eat in restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was cleaned every day. We had plenty of big fluffy towels. Breakfast is not as sumptuous as at some other pricier hotels, but it was perfectly adequate to fill up on--and we LOVED the coffee machine where……
