“The house is darling! Loved the kitchen and living room areas and having a fenced yard for our dog was a real help. The neighborhood is quiet and a very easy walk to Bidwell Park. Walking distance to a good restaurant for breakfast too!! It was wonderful.”

“Had a great experience and such a great and beautiful location. Host are awesome and communication was great. Would stay here again and highly recommend it.”

“Property was not clean when we showed up. Floors were dirty and beds left not made and unclean. House is very outdated. Heaters hardly worked. Heater in the living room we had to turn the thermostat to max for it to turn on and the one in the main bedroom seemed to not work at all. We had to wash the bedsheets before using. Luckily they did have a washer and dryer out back but the dryer also didnt seem to work properly. ”

“It was a beautiful outdoor property but the roof leaked downstairs from the jet tub so wasn't the first time because of the rusty water that was leaking they said they had a family crib but didn't out that it had to be requested and told us we won't get one i would be cautious of them ”

“The house was overall nice and a good fit for our needs, except for one significant issue. There is a cottage in the back of the house where other people were staying. Nowhere in the listing was there a mention of a second rental property on the same lot and a shared backyard space. We were shocked to find people coming into “our” backyard when we were out there with our dogs. Fortunately, our dogs are friendly, but it could have been a dangerous situation for many reasons (including the people……

“Came to Chico for some blue collar work. Definitely a good choice. Perfect for us. We dined in twice and ate out a couple times. Just what we needed. Can use some more basic stuff in the kitchen but no big complaints. Thank you! ”

“Stayed here with my mother in law and three daughters. It was plenty of room for us and was clean. The beds are very comfortable. We were happy to find a Brita in the fridge, so there is filtered water. Kitchen towels and potholders would be a great addition!:)”

“Very nice and extremely large home great for a Chico stay. Quite neighborhood with easy access to the 99 freeway and town down the Esplanade.”

“Well-maintained, lovely setting and perfectly positioned for a weekend adventure to the area. The Sampsons were super responsive and proactive. They also provide excellent information on how to use all the appliances, everything is well-labeled and clear, and we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Chris and Megen!!”
