“It was a very calm, peaceful stay. The wonderful, bubbling water features could be seen and heard from our room. The breakfasts were very delicious. Eating breakfast on the front porch while watching and listening to a half dozen different bird species sing to us was quite enjoyable. The room was exquisite. “Amazing restored hotel that transports you back to the time of Art Deco! It’s centrally located making it easy to walk for dining, shopping and entertainment. Check-in was easy and the staff are so friendly! The beds are comfortable and I give the pillows a solid B! The rooms are nicely appointed with plenty of bedside outlets and USBs. “The hotel and room were fine but for $250 a night I expected it to be downtown. I came to see Leanne Morgan at Harrah’s and stayed here because it was walking distance to Harrah’s. It is walking distance and it was fine for me, but not for older people or anyone who minds walking uphill and across busy streets. It is Asheville though so hills should be expected. I walked to Grove Arcade downtown in about 15-20 minutes and I was taking my time. Overall I am happy with the stay. I just think it……
