“Our room was clean and comfortable with friendly, helpful hosts who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Introduced us to their friendly dog and they were able to offer advice on where to eat dinner. Plenty information in the folder in the room of local attractions if anyone wanted. We would stay again. ”

“Old school stately charm, the staff make an effort to provide a luxurious experience in this historically grand hotel. Great to have a bathtub, bathrooms have been renovated. Treats and coffee/tea provided in the room. Friendly and cozy pub for visitors and locals with full menu available. Grand, formal dining room and halls for guests. “Perfect 10 minutes walk from the train station. Everything your needed in the place. Lots of walking routes. There good selection of places to eat in the high street and a coop and a butchers.”

“No frills lodging. It's an older building, and it is showing it's age, but it's sufficient for a night or two. Big tub in the bathroom. Rooms are warm (It's Oct and cold!). Good accommodations for the price. Make sure you check your email ahead of time for the key box code, or you will have to call from the unstaffed reception. Free coffee and snacks at breakfast. ”

“Staff were friendly and helpful, location handy and beautiful, with red squirrels nearby and nesting house martins. My only suggestion would be that - as we should be reducing meat and dairy consumption for environmental reasons - vegetarian breakfast should be the norm.”

Breakfast was great, would be nice to have meatfree options for vegetarians, even if not in buffet but can offer to prepare it if requested, still loved scones and beans and pancakes, kind and caring staff.”

“Had a lovely 2 night stay in the Cairngorm Suite with my husband and 2 kids (5years & 4 months old). Firstly the location was perfect and in walking distance to countless pubs, restaurants, shops etc. The room itself was beautiful and the bedroom especially was incredibly spacious. The beds were really comfortable and the bedding/duvets etc all felt really good quality. Bathroom was spotless, the shower wasnt very powerful but thats being pernickety. Plenty of storage space throughout the suite……
